Yoo Jeong-bok

Yoo Jeong-bok is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Mayor of Incheon, a position he has held since 2022, having previously served in the same role from 2014 to 2018. A career bureaucrat turned politician, he passed the civil service examination in 1979 and held various administrative posts before being elected as the Mayor of Gimpo County in 1995. He subsequently served three terms as a member of the National Assembly representing Gimpo and held cabinet-level positions, including Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Minister of Security and Public Administration. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent member of the conservative political bloc, currently affiliated with the People Power Party.
