入山欣郎

Yoshiro Iriyama is a Japanese politician who has served as the Mayor of Otake City in Hiroshima Prefecture since 2006. A graduate of Waseda University, he previously worked for Mitsubishi Corporation and his family's business, Izumi Sangyo. During his long tenure, he has faced significant controversy, including a high-profile reversal on his opposition to the relocation of U.S. carrier-based aircraft to the Iwakuni base and a legal battle regarding the sale of municipal land. In 2020, he was questioned by prosecutors in connection with a vote-buying scandal involving the Kawai political family, though he denied receiving any illicit funds. He is currently serving his fifth term in office.
