Yusuf Cassim

Yusuf Cassim is a South African politician serving as the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2026, representing the Democratic Alliance. He previously served as a Member of Parliament from 2014 to 2019 and as a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2019 until his appointment to the national government. Throughout his career, Cassim has held prominent youth and leadership positions within the Democratic Alliance, including federal chairperson of the DA Youth and provincial chairman in the Eastern Cape.
