Zahari Kechik

Zahari bin Kechik is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Jeli since November 2022. Formerly a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), he became an independent politician in June 2024. In November 2023, he publicly declared his support for the government of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, contributing to the administration's two-thirds majority in the Dewan Rakyat. Prior to his parliamentary career, he served as a political secretary to the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Economy.
