Zoran Poznič

Zoran Poznič is a Slovenian politician, sculptor, and the current Mayor of Trbovlje, having been elected to the position in November 2022. Before entering municipal politics, he served as the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia from 2019 to 2020 under the government of Marjan Šarec. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Poznič previously held the role of director at the Delavski dom Trbovlje cultural center and has been active in the leadership of the Association of Slovene Fine Artists Societies. His career reflects a strong background in both cultural management and public administration.
