A. Raja is an Indian politician and advocate who serves as a Member of Parliament for the Nilgiris constituency. A prominent leader within the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), he has held several ministerial portfolios, including Minister of State for Rural Development, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, and Cabinet Minister for Environment and Forests, as well as Communication and Information Technology. Throughout his career, he has been a vocal proponent of Dravidian ideology and social justice. Although he was a central figure in the 2G spectrum case, he was acquitted of all charges in 2017. He currently serves as the deputy general secretary of the DMK.
