He has been serving as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since February 2024, representing the PK-27 Buner-III constituency. He contested the 2024 general elections as a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf backed independent candidate, securing 27,821 votes to win the seat. He is the son of former MPA Jamshed Khan.
