Abdul Kharis Almasyhari

Abdul Kharis Almasyhari is an Indonesian politician and entrepreneur who serves as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. Born in 1968, he is the son of an Islamic scholar and was raised in a religious environment in Purworejo. Before entering politics, he worked as a lecturer at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and founded PT Era Adicitra Intra Media, a prominent publisher of Islamic literature. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2014, representing the electoral district covering Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, and Klaten. Throughout his career, he has been known for his involvement in Islamic education and his background in the student press.
