Abdul Wazeeth

Mohamed Sheriff Abdul Wazeeth is a Sri Lankan politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament. He was appointed to the legislature via the National List on behalf of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of M. S. Naleem. His appointment was confirmed by the Election Commission in July 2025, and he was officially sworn in on July 8, 2025. Prior to his parliamentary career, Wazeeth served as the chairman of the Pothuvil Pradeshiya Sabha in the Ampara District.
