Acan Joyce Okeny

Acan Joyce Okeny is a Ugandan politician and management scientist serving as the Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development for Disability Affairs in the 12th Parliament of Uganda. She is also the female representative for people with disabilities in Parliament, building on a long career advocating for equal opportunities, including ten years as a Kampala Capital City Authority councillor. Holding a master's degree in human resource management from Makerere University, she focuses on strengthening accessibility standards, disability data systems, and vocational training programs to improve employment outcomes for persons with disabilities.
