Addison McDowell

Addison McDowell is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 6th congressional district since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he previously worked in constituent services for Representative Ted Budd and as a lobbyist for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. McDowell entered politics following the death of his brother from a fentanyl overdose, a tragedy that significantly influenced his platform. In the 119th Congress, he serves on the Committee on the Budget and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
