Adriane Johnson is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Illinois Senate representing the 30th district. Appointed to the seat in October 2020, she holds the distinction of being the first African-American state senator to represent Lake County, Illinois. Before her tenure in the state legislature, Johnson served on the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Buffalo Grove Park Board. She holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Columbia College Chicago and a Master of Jurisprudence in business law from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
