Mark Tisdel

Mark Tisdel is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 55th district since 2021. Before his election to the state legislature, he served for eight years on the Rochester Hills City Council, including four years as council president. Professionally, he spent 22 years as a principal at Backus Payne & Associates, specializing in medical-liability insurance. Throughout his legislative tenure, Tisdel has focused on bipartisan initiatives, including tax relief for small businesses, consumer protection against online fraud, and gun safety proposals. He has been recognized as Legislator of the Year by multiple organizations, including the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association and the Small Business Association of Michigan.
