Afonso Florence is a Brazilian politician and historian who has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2011. A member of the Workers' Party (PT), he previously served as the Minister of Agrarian Development under President Dilma Rousseff from 2011 to 2012. Before his national legislative career, he held positions in the Bahia state government, including Secretary of Urban Development.
