Currently holding the position of Deputy Minister of Works since December 2023, he previously served as the Deputy Minister of Finance I and held various ministerial roles in the Prime Minister's Department and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry under the Barisan Nasional administration. A member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), he has held significant party leadership roles, including Secretary-General of UMNO and Division Chief of Pontian.
