Ahmed Laaouej

Ahmed Laaouej is a Belgian politician and member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, representing the Socialist Party. Born in Liège to a Moroccan family, he holds a law degree with a specialization in economic and fiscal law. Before his full-time political career, he worked at the Ministry of Finance and served as an adviser for the Socialist Party. Known for his focus on fiscal policy and tax justice, he has led parliamentary inquiries into tax evasion, including the Panama Papers, and has advocated for strict regulations against vulture funds. He also serves as the mayor of the commune of Koekelberg.
