Ahmed Toufiq

Ahmed Toufiq is a Moroccan historian, novelist, and government minister who has been serving as the Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs since 2002. Born in 1943 in Marigha, he pursued extensive academic studies in history and archaeology, later teaching at various academic institutions and serving as director of the Institute of African Studies and the National Library of Morocco. In addition to his political and administrative career, he is a noted author of historical studies and novels, as well as an advocate for interfaith dialogue.
