Akhtaruzzaman Mia

Akhtaruzzaman Mia is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman who serves as a Member of Parliament for the Dinajpur-4 constituency and as the opposition chief whip in the Jatiya Sangsad. Born on February 12, 1957, in Chirirbandar Upazila, Dinajpur District, he earned his Bachelor of Commerce and Master's degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Rajshahi. A member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, he previously won election to parliament in 2001 and returned to the legislature following the 2026 general election.
