Akhter Hossen

Akhter Hossen is a Bangladeshi politician, activist, and Member of Parliament representing the Rangpur-4 constituency. He rose to prominence as a student leader, playing a key role in the 2018 quota reform movement and serving as the Social Services Secretary of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union. Later, as one of the coordinators of Students Against Discrimination, he participated in the 2024 mass uprising that ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and subsequently became the member secretary of the newly founded National Citizen Party before winning election to the Jatiya Sangsad.
