漢人あきこ

Akiko Kando is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, representing the Koganei constituency. Before entering metropolitan politics, she worked as a childcare provider for twelve years and served four terms as a member of the Koganei City Council from 1997 to 2013. A long-time activist in environmental, peace, and feminist movements, she was a founding member of the Greens Japan party. Her political platform emphasizes environmental protection, climate crisis mitigation, and citizen-led governance.
