鈴木 あきこ

Akiko Suzuki is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Iwate Prefectural Assembly, representing the Morioka constituency. Born in Morioka, she initially worked as a nursery teacher before succeeding her father as the 46th chief priest of Omiya Shrine in 2002. Drawing on her personal experiences as a single mother and caregiver, she advocates for policies that support families, children, and the elderly. She is committed to regional revitalization and aims to make Iwate a prefecture where all residents can live with pride and security.
