Akira Taguchi is a Japanese politician currently serving his fourth term as a member of the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly. After graduating from Keio University, he worked at Suzuki Motor Corporation and served as a full-time official for the Suzuki labor union before entering politics. He was first elected to the Hamamatsu City Council in 2007 and subsequently to the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly in 2011.
