Al Gentry is an American politician serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for District 46, a position he has held since 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, Gentry has been a vocal advocate for the legalization of sports betting and medical cannabis in Kentucky. In 2024, he was elected as the House Minority Caucus Chair, a leadership role he held until November 2025, when he stepped down to focus on developing an adaptive golf course for individuals with disabilities. Gentry, who lost his right arm in a 1993 drilling accident, continues to serve his constituents in the state legislature.
