Alain Houpert

Alain Houpert is a French politician and radiologist who has served as a Senator for the Côte-d'Or department since 2008. A member of The Republicans, he previously held local offices including Mayor of Salives and General Councilor of Côte-d'Or. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various controversies, including his vocal opposition to government health policies during the Covid-19 pandemic and his ties to the Azerbaijani regime. He remains an active member of the Senate, currently serving on the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, and the Armed Forces.
