Alain Krijnen

Alain Krijnen is a Dutch jurist and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Eijsden-Margraten since March 23, 2023. Before entering local government, he spent nearly seventeen years at the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, where he held various policy roles focusing on constitutional reforms, the Municipalities Act, and the integrity of decentralized government. Krijnen holds a degree in constitutional and administrative law from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and has contributed as an author to legal commentaries on municipal and provincial law.
