Alar Laneman

Alar Laneman is an Estonian politician currently serving as a member of the Riigikogu. Born in 1962, he previously served as the Minister of the Interior in the second cabinet of Prime Minister Jüri Ratas from November 2020 to January 2021. Laneman was elected to the Riigikogu in 2019 representing the 12th constituency. Throughout his political career, he was a member of the Conservative People's Party of Estonia (EKRE) until 2024, after which he joined the liberal Estonian Reform Party in July 2024.
