Alejandro Vilca

Alejandro Vilca is an Argentine politician, trade unionist, and garbage worker of Qulla indigenous descent. A prominent member of the Socialist Workers' Party (PTS) and the Workers' Left Front (FIT), he has long advocated for anti-capitalist policies and workers' rights. After serving as a deputy in the Jujuy provincial legislature starting in 2017, he was elected to the National Chamber of Deputies in 2021. His political career is defined by his background in the informal labor sector and his efforts to represent the interests of the working class and indigenous communities in Argentina.
