Alex Norris is a British Labour and Co-operative politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Nottingham North and Kimberley since 2024, having previously represented Nottingham North since 2017. In September 2025, he was appointed Minister of State for Border Security and Asylum. Before his parliamentary career, Norris served as a Nottingham City councillor and worked as an area organiser for the trade union UNISON. Throughout his time in Westminster, he has held various shadow ministerial roles, including positions focused on public health, policing, and levelling up.
