Throughout her career, she has held various ministerial roles, including Minister of State for Europe and Minister of State for Industry and Economic Security. Ghani is noted for being the first female Muslim minister to speak from the House of Commons despatch box and has been a vocal advocate for human rights, particularly regarding the treatment of Uyghurs in China.
