Alexandru Nazare

Alexandru Nazare is a Romanian politician currently serving as the Minister of Finance in the Bolojan cabinet since June 2025. A career politician with extensive experience in European affairs and public administration, he previously held the same ministerial post from 2020 to 2021 and served as Minister of Transport and Infrastructure in 2012. Nazare was the youngest Romanian representative in the European Parliament when elected in 2008. Throughout his career, he has focused on fiscal reform, infrastructure development, and Romania's integration into European institutions, notably leading the successful bid for Romania to host the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.
