Ambrozie-Irineu Darău

Ambrozie-Irineu Darău is a Romanian politician currently serving as the Minister of Economy since December 2025. Prior to his ministerial appointment, he served as a member of the Senate of Romania representing Brașov County, having been elected in 2020 on the USR-PLUS list. An IT specialist by profession, Darău holds degrees from the University of Bucharest and has extensive international experience in software consultancy and management. He has been actively involved in civic initiatives, including work with the Civic Academy Foundation and the Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance in Sighet.
