Alexis Deschênes is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Gaspésie—Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine—Listuguj. Elected in the 2025 Canadian federal election, he successfully unseated cabinet minister Diane Lebouthillier. Prior to his parliamentary career, Deschênes worked as a lawyer and journalist. He also serves as the vice chair of the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans. He previously ran as a candidate for the Parti Québécois in the 2014 and 2022 Quebec general elections.
