Alexis Deschênes is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Gaspésie—Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine—Listuguj. Elected in the 2025 Canadian federal election as a member of the Bloc Québécois, he notably unseated incumbent cabinet minister Diane Lebouthillier. In addition to his parliamentary duties, he serves as the vice chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans. Prior to his federal election, Deschênes worked as a lawyer and journalist and was a candidate for the Parti Québécois in the 2014 and 2022 Quebec general elections.
