Alpesh Thakor is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly representing the Gandhinagar South constituency. A prominent leader of the Koli community, he rose to political prominence as a social activist by founding the Gujarat Kshatriya Thakor Sena and the OBC, SC, ST Ekta Manch to advocate for reservation rights. Initially associated with the Indian National Congress, he was elected to the assembly from Radhanpur in 2017 before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019. He is known for his grassroots mobilization efforts and his focus on social issues, including anti-liquor campaigns within his community.
