Aluísio Mendes

Aluísio Mendes is a Brazilian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, representing the state of Maranhão. A lawyer by profession, he previously served as the Secretary of Public Security for Maranhão from 2010 to 2014 and as a presidential advisor to José Sarney between 1985 and 1990. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on public security policy and currently chairs the special commission on federal competencies in public security.
