Ander Gil

Ander Gil García is a Spanish politician and teacher who has served as a Senator for Burgos since 2011. A member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), he previously held the position of President of the Senate of Spain from 2021 to 2023 and served as the Spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Senate from 2017 to 2021. Before his national parliamentary career, he was a local councillor in Valle de Mena for sixteen years. Gil is recognized for his leadership during the minority government of Pedro Sánchez and his advocacy for socialist policy initiatives within the Senate.
