Andre V. Johnson Jr. is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 34A. Born in 1971 at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, he served in the United States Army as an armored crewman and later worked as a police officer and housing investigator. Before his election to the state legislature in 2022, he served on the Harford County Council from 2018 to 2022. As a legislator, he is the first African American to represent Harford County in the Maryland General Assembly and focuses on issues including community safety, economic development, and local infrastructure.
