Andrew Western

Andrew Western is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Stretford and Urmston since 2022. Since 2024, he has held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transformation at the Department for Work and Pensions. Before entering national politics, Western served as the Leader of Trafford Council from 2018 to 2023, where he focused on housing, infrastructure, and regional regeneration. A member of the Labour Party, he has been a vocal advocate for YIMBY housing policies and previously worked in project management within the engineering sector.
