Andy Kim

Andy Kim is an American politician and diplomat serving as the junior United States Senator from New Jersey since 2024. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the U.S. Representative for New Jersey's 3rd congressional district from 2019 to 2024. Before entering elected office, Kim worked as a national security official and civilian advisor at the U.S. Department of State and the National Security Council, focusing on foreign policy in Afghanistan and counter-terrorism efforts. Known for his progressive platform, he gained national attention for his efforts to reform primary ballot procedures and his commitment to government transparency. Kim is the first Korean-American elected to the U.S. Senate.
