Andy McDonald

Andy McDonald is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Middlesbrough and Thornaby East since 2024, having previously represented Middlesbrough from 2012. A former solicitor specializing in personal injury and military claims, he held senior roles in the shadow cabinet, including Shadow Secretary of State for Transport and Shadow Secretary of State for Employment Rights and Protections. Throughout his career, McDonald has been a vocal advocate for the nationalization of railways and the strengthening of workers' rights, including campaigning for higher minimum wages.
