Martha Lane Fox

Martha Lane Fox is a British businesswoman, philanthropist, and public servant who has served as a crossbench member of the House of Lords since 2013. A pioneer of the digital economy, she co-founded the online travel business Lastminute.com during the dotcom boom and later served as the UK's Digital Champion, helping to establish the Government Digital Service. Beyond her parliamentary duties, she has held numerous leadership roles, including Chancellor of the Open University and President of the British Chambers of Commerce, while advocating for digital literacy, social justice, and women's rights.
