Khalid Hameed, Baron Hameed

Khalid Hameed, Baron Hameed is a British businessperson and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2007. Born in Lucknow, India, in 1941, he built a significant career in healthcare management, notably serving as the chairman and chief executive officer of the London International Hospital and the Cromwell Hospital. Beyond his business activities, he is recognized for his contributions to inter-religious dialogue and his leadership in various charitable organizations, including the Woolf Institute of Abrahamic Faiths. He was appointed the first Asian High Sheriff of Greater London in 2006 and has received numerous honors, including a CBE and the Indian Padma Bhushan.
