Angelica Amante

Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante is a Filipino politician currently serving as the Governor of Agusan del Norte, a position she has held since 2022. She previously served as governor from 1995 to 2004 and again from 2013 to 2019, and has represented Agusan del Norte's 2nd congressional district in the House of Representatives for three intermittent terms. A trained nurse, she began her political career at age 25 as the youngest provincial governor at the time. She is known for her long-standing political influence in the region and her close alliance with former President Rodrigo Duterte.
