Anita Gale, Baroness Gale, is a British politician and a life peer serving as a member of the House of Lords. Born in 1940, she spent much of her career working for the Labour Party in Wales, serving as the Women's Officer and later as the General Secretary for Wales until 1999. Before her political career, she worked in a clothing factory and as a shop assistant, later becoming active in trade unionism. She holds a degree in economics and politics from University College Cardiff. Throughout her career, she has been a prominent advocate for women's rights and has served as the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary group on Parkinson's.
