Usha Prashar, Baroness Prashar is a British politician and a crossbench member of the House of Lords. Born in Kenya, she moved to the United Kingdom in the 1960s and pursued a distinguished career in the public and non-governmental sectors. She served as the first chair of the Judicial Appointments Commission and held leadership roles at the Parole Board of England and Wales and the Civil Service Commission. Additionally, she was a member of the Iraq Inquiry and has served as a trustee or governor for numerous educational and charitable organizations, including the British Council and the Ditchley Foundation.
