Ann-Charlotte Järnström

Ann-Charlotte Järnström is a Swedish public administrator currently serving as the Regional Director of the Västra Götaland Region (VGR). She assumed the role of acting Regional Director in March 2025, having previously served as the region's Chief Financial Officer for over three years. In June 2025, the regional board confirmed her continued appointment in the position until September 30, 2026, citing a need for organizational stability. Järnström is also involved in regional leadership regarding digital health initiatives, including the Millennium program. She plans to retire following the conclusion of her current mandate in 2026.
