Cecilia Skingsley is a Swedish economist and banker who currently serves as the County Governor of Stockholm County, having assumed the position in June 2025. Before her appointment, she held significant roles in global finance, including serving as the Head of the BIS Innovation Hub at the Bank for International Settlements from 2022 to 2025. Her extensive career includes serving on the executive board of Sveriges Riksbank, Sweden's central bank, where she acted as First Deputy Governor from 2019 to 2022. Earlier in her career, she worked as a financial journalist for Dagens industri and as a chief economist at Swedbank, following initial roles in public administration as a press secretary within the Swedish Ministry of Finance.
