
Anna Gainey

Anna Gainey is a Canadian politician currently serving as a Member of the House of Commons for the riding of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Westmount. Since May 2025, she has also held the position of Secretary of State for Children and Youth. A graduate of McGill University and the London School of Economics, Gainey previously served as the president of the Liberal Party of Canada from 2014 to 2018 and worked as a policy advisor to federal ministers. She is recognized for her long-standing involvement in federal politics and her close association with the Liberal Party leadership.
