Anna Kontula

Anna Kontula is a Finnish politician and sociologist who has served as a member of the Parliament of Finland since 2011. A member of the Left Alliance, she is known for her academic research on sex work, labor conditions, and social inequality. Throughout her political career, she has advocated for feminist, anti-racist, and pro-labor policies, often identifying as a communist. She previously served on the Tampere City Council and has been a vocal critic of NATO and various international human rights issues, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
