Anne Clarke

Anne Clarke is an American-born British politician serving as the London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden since 2021. Originally from Winnetka, Illinois, she moved to London in 1998 and became a naturalized citizen in 2007. Before her election to the Assembly, she served as a councillor for the Childs Hill ward on Barnet Council starting in 2018. In her legislative role, Clarke has been a prominent advocate for fire safety, campaigning for the regulation of lithium-ion batteries and the implementation of Grenfell Tower Inquiry recommendations. She has also served on several committees, including the Budget and Performance Committee and the Fire Committee, focusing on public safety and local economic development.
