Anne McIntosh, Baroness McIntosh of Pickering, is a British politician and life peer who has served in the House of Lords since 2015. Previously, she was a Member of Parliament for Vale of York from 1997 to 2010 and for Thirsk and Malton from 2010 to 2015, as well as a Member of the European Parliament from 1989 to 1999. During her time in the House of Commons, she chaired the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee and held various frontbench positions. An accomplished linguist and lawyer, she has been a prominent figure in British politics for over three decades.
